Park and Loop and part time

My start time is supposed to be 7.30 to 8.00am depending on what day of the week it it but the DOM has asked all part time workers to start at 6.15am ( the equivalant of 1.30 hours a day early) this has been since park and loop was introduced. We have night sorters coming in to help with the backlog.
All part time workers have to do manual sorting into walks at 6.30 til 7.00am and 7.30 to 8.00am.
How do we get out for 9am to complete our round by cut off its impossible. It only gives us 1 hour and 45 mins to sort our rounds , have meal relief redi's and travel etc .
I am a non driving walker and my work partner (driver) has childcare issues and has to cut off.
I can be left with 4 bags when he leaves and someone has to pick him up and leave the van with me so I have somewhere to keep my other bags .
When I finish which can be up to 6pm sometimes , someone has to come and take the van home full of docket left undelivered packets , recorded's and specials.
What an absolute balls up whoever thought of park and loop needs shooting or have his computer shoved somewhere where the sun dont shine.
Anyone reading the propaganda in the Courier about park and loop working , its Bullshit.
Been a postie for 10 years and before Park and Loop had only cut off once. Since Park and Loop 4 months ago I have only completed once

1h 45m sounds about the same as our 'soon to be started' P&L revision.

On Thurs and Fri my current duty will have all of 1h 30m to get prepped and out the door - it can take that long on a Sat now without all the extra packets.

Its going to be interesting when we start at our normal start time of 8 am being part time and having to have our meal relief at 8.20am only 20 minutes later cos we need to be out at 9am to complete

Dear Colleagues,

During the recent ADR briefings the subject of ‘Streaming or Skimming’ of mail was raised by a number of reps and subsequently raised by me at the NDG. Royal Mail’s response was that they were unaware of it and it was only anecdotal, they needed firmer ‘evidence’. Therefore could reps please supply the dept via email with any instances where this has occurred or is occurring, naming the office and the manager of the office and how frequently this has occurred, and how the streaming actually occurs. In some cases the decision of what not to deliver has been left to OPGs which in itself is unacceptable. In other instances it forms part of absorption/lapsing where an OPG is taken off a delivery to allow others to absorb the delivery by only delivering the 1c and leaving everything else in the frame.
Your urgent attention and response to this request would be greatly appreciated.

Still waiting on some feedback on that one but Streaming is a definite NO and should be flagged up to your ADR and eventually to Bob.

I know what i would like to do tell the silly manager that my M/R is in the wrong place as it should be in the middle of my duty but not any part of the end of my duty,then explain it is not my problem over completion of the duty,i have just done a very similar stunt in our office i was told about a fair and manageable work load i explained for it to be fair and manageable all walks would have to be the same,i dont know why they were not amused but so far we have been back to the board on very many occasions.

Know what you mean Fishtank we are still waiting for a response on that i don't feel that it is fast coming never mind aye it happens in our office now the streaming and leaving mail in the frame but the managers lie about it all the time.

It's not designed to save time,it's designed to give the impression of assistance with delivery without actually giving any assistance so that the next time you need assistance you just think "f**k it..what's the point?".
