Grievance what happens now?

I have put in a grievance. What should happen next?

I have put in a grievance. What should happen next?

management will take some time to cover their arses and find a way to make you look bad and when this is done they will interview you and show you their paper trail to prove how good the manager is and how bad you are then they will threaten you with the conduct code and hope you withdraw the grievance.if your case is strong then you will have to be strong also so stick it out and don't let the barstewards grind you down.

Stage 1 Grievance should be replied to within 1 week (5 working Days I think) . If no reply has been given by that time then put in another grievance to escalate it to stage 2 and that takes it out of the hands of your line manager and pushes it up the chain.

Alternatively put in a second grievance (about the first one not being dealt with) and state that you require a manager from a different site to deal with it. - works for me every time.

Edit - just read the above post - ALWAYS take a union rep or colleague in to any meetings about your grievance AND if possible get an independant note taker to record what is said .

Sounds very probable!! I dont mean to be thick but what is the conduct code???

i know i should,nt put this on here as 1..im not in the union and 2..i left back in march ...but i also put in stage one and two grievances..BUT..with the aid of ACAS behind me ..i got all that was due to me .lol i wish i really had seen their faces. that was all completed within a few weeks too.

Not being in the union makes no difference to us (a lot of us anyway) on the site,the site members on here will still help you out.
A lot are pissed with the union but most would rather be in it than not,especially in the current climate.
