Have to agree Shops/Offices are the most miserable ignorant gits. Its taken me 2 months I've been doing the duty to get the staff in the Opticians to say 'morning' back to me. I'm getting moved off that next week and back on to residential. At least then everyone will be at work and I've not got to encounter anyone.
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Look on the bright side, if they can't even muster a simple 'hello' or 'thank you' then they must be even more miserable than us, and their jobs must be even worse than ours. :dance

Have to say that shops can be a real nightmare

I found the banks to be the worse, trying to get thing signed for. I remember standing in front of one teller and kept saying "good morning" in a cheery voice untill he finally said it back, i replied "now how hard was that then". A real funny bunch them :left:
Rows of houses all bearing down on me........I can feel their blue hands touching me.......All these things in all positions.........All these things will one day take control..........

I walked out a bookies one day as they had me waiting too long
I was there and waited until they had served the one guy there
then one walked off and the other started making a call
so I just walked out with the SD

I've done that plenty of times, always with currency :Very Happy but they never got the hint and used to ignore me (haven't been on that duty for a while but I would still do it :Very Happy ) and I would never queue up, straight to the counter :nana

I'll have to try that one.
Deliver to a couple of Banks on one of my floating duties, and have to stand in the queue as some old boy fumbles about with his paperwork and asks the bank-assistant the same question 4 or 5 times. :arrrghhh Whats the official RM policy regards to this anyway?

Also delivered a letter to an address the other day,3 people sitting in deck-chairs in the front garden...asks if anyone "wants to take this letter?"...blank stares, so I say "no?" and chucked it into the hallway. This sort of thing happens on a regular basis, alot of people are just ignorant ****s.

Out on del one day, i noticed a front door ajar, the same as it was the day before so i called in and ther was no answer,so i knocked on a neighbors house, who was head of the neighbour hood watch and told her of my concerns, she came back with me and asked that i go in and check to see what if anything was wrong, after 20mins of looking in every room and back garden i found no dead bodies or signs of a break in and there was jewelery left on bedsides with keys left by the front door.we decided to leave a note telling what we had found and that we had closed the door behind us. A week later while on del the lady from the neighbour hood watch pulled me to one side and told me that the couple whos door was open had been on holiday for a week and had forgot to shut the door, and when they got back and read the note they went round to the neighbour and told her we had no right to enter their house and she had a good mind to notify the police, she didnt, but she did ring the office and put her complaint in writing,it was a shame she didnt put as much effort in shutting her front door.

A thing i used to do when i was driving buses was, if you get an ignorant/rude customer, as they are getting of bus say to them f**k you but say it in a happy thank you kind of way with a smile on your face. You can tell by there faces they are not quite sure what you said :Very Happy
