Employment Tribunal Appeals cases involving Royal Mail

Totally indicative of why RM is such a diabolical employer at this present time...

What should also be remembered are these cases are APPEALS against tribunal decisions.

Although it is some time since I read them all, if I recall rightly, most are where RM have lost and where they challenge the original decision with yet more legal and financial muscle....

It shows the lengths they will go to to grind us into the dust...and being represented by the union seems to make little difference....

If you take them on, you are in for a serious and prolonged fight....but in my opinion the only way we are to stop RM treating us like s**t is to enforce our employment rights via the courts....

Make no mistake, the union has been beaten, national agreements and the IR framework are going to be history and we will have to accept less influence than before, even if you were lucky enough to be in strong office that has stood up to them in the past....

If I was in a position of influence, which of course I am not due to electoral interference, then I would be pushing like mad to get every unit rep trained to f***k in how to fight ET's with or without union hq backing....

We would then say very loudly to RM - sort your act out or you will forever be having to explain your bullying and harassment, discrimination of all types and unfair dismissals in the full glare of local and national publicity...

Mark my words, if we did that on a massive scale they would soon be treating us with real dignity and respect, not the spin version we hear every day to cover up their atrocities....

Your Union that has left you "high and dry" so you say will give you I am sure an appeal procedure which will contain all the info you need to know.

The rep in our place took out 25 E.T's against RM in one sitting. 5 of them were combined i.e involving more than 1 claim. All relating to money owed and annual leave.
