Part timers On The ips on a Saturday

Is this going on at all in other offices ? part timers being called onto the ips at 6.30 ? which in my office went from 30 minutes now it is intill it is complete.

So basically with a 6.00 start time you have been throwing off your coded bundles for 30 minutes and then your walk isn't getting touched intill you come off the sorting.

You guys (Well,all of us are)are paid to do whatever you can in your hrs.
If you have to cut off because you are being told to do other stuff then you cut off.
There is no written law that states that part timers do not do IPS.

what hours you call part time?
i do 34 p/w and dont even start until 8 on a saturday, lots of full timers have already left before ive got a coffee!

Had a revision yet,if not that will all change,if you have,any jobs going there.

yep, p&l been going quite a while, quite a few still get out for 8ish, me 10 on a good day (on sats)

You've had P&L and full-timers have left the office before 8am?

What time do full-timers officially start?

Even if it's 6am i'd think it was virtually impossible to be out the office for 8am if they're working properly.

The only way i can see anyone leaving for that time is if they're starting early and working for nothing( 40% of my office do, mugs.)

How can they be allowed to leave at that time when it's clearly obvious the internal missorts wouldn't be resolved.

Typical posties who can't get it into their thick skulls that it's for everyones benefit that they do the job properly. Them, Greene and privitisation will be the death of us.

providing you have training, yes. The only role where no training is required is DOM or DIM. Just learn to bully, be a dickhead and say yes to the DSM (called area manager, I think).

everyone starts at 6 in my office on a saturday, and everyone does IPS (unless you are doing a 2nd prep) for about 45 mins.

Straight onto the IPS before you even touch your own walk

Out the door for 8a.m. or before, must be London then! Everyone else in the Country doesn't start till approx 6.30a.m. at the earliest now, but London probably still start at 5a.m.!

nope, up norf.
think quite a few pairs agree to come in a bit early, no missort run or breaks taken on saturdays, did it once myself to make sure i got to a match.
7am start for f/t, quite easy to get out for 8 on a decent day if they prep their sequenced boxes before their proper start time.
as for internal missorts? dont think doms give a toss as long has folk walk out with all the mail they had at the time
