Well for two years now, we have been strung along by the Revision Team, in our office! Two planned roll out dates that went by, the Dom not happy with the way things had been planned. Both revisions, EVR was on the table! P/T duties for those who wanted a buy down! Both times its been snatched from under us. For two years RM, has been messing about with our lives, hanging us on a piece of string, making promises and giving you false hopes.
Even the guy who was in charge of the revision team went AWOL six months ago, with stress. He has not been seen since
No updates since last December! Only rumour upon rumour, when the introduction might take place?
A couple of weeks ago another staff exercise took place! This time it was for a "Buy Down" to a 30 hour working week! Anyone interested? A few people were, but again dashed hopes as this like all other exercises has now been cancelled.
We are currently carrying 19 duties vacant at our office, most were being done on a mix of OT and Absorbtion. This is due to a ban on recruitment and the sick which increases day by day, as people are so fed up with the whole system now! What ever they tell us now, we do not believe them anymore, to many lies and false hopes, two years of RM mucking about with our lives.
You can never get a saturday off or get the leave you require because of the 19 vacancies we are carrying! They cannot cover all of the duties on a daily basis, even the line managers are fed up.
Stress levels are at boiling point! Moral is non existent. The long term staff are begining to quit the job now!
Three in the last 4 weeks, which increases the vacancies.
Last week it looked as if a date had been agreed for the roll out of the new duties - Horray at last! But the following day, our hopes were dashed again, as higher management reviewed the revision a 3rd time and want more hours taken out. We would have had 40 duties under the new revision! They want 30 now! A big meeting this coming Thursday will decide if we go ahead or not?
If not! Union rep has said he is walking away from it because of the crap that he has had to put up with over such a long period. I don't blame him. It will require another complete revision of the office, another 20 weeks of waiting, another re-sign, more frustrated people left waiting, more money spent on a system that has long been screwing up RM and our lives.
The amount of money spent on the revision process so far at our office must be astronomical, it has probably cost more than the initial savings they are hoping to make?
Meanwhile we soldier on! A day at a time, depressed, stressed out, dispondent, told more lies and false hopes, and the management want us to believe them! More stories than a library of Mills & Boon books!
Sorry RM you have run your course, for far to long "The Clowns have been in Charge of the Circus". Now you are bringing the whole damn Circus Tent down around us! And the sickening thing is! We are still in it! Not able to do anything but rant and rave, at the office management that does not listen, simply because, they are like us now! They do not believe it themselves!
When will the revision come in? Your guess is as good as mine!
