I was under the impression that we (as in the office as a whole) got a say in the new revision being accepted but ours has finally been approved by the higher ups and is coming in asap.
No say for us?

Who says ,have you approved it? Just organise a ballot,it's not hard. If 90% say no it won't make your working day more difficult. Get a list of names ,some bits of paper ,write out the relevant question ,give a choice of answers.Hey presto a body of opinion ,something to work with

Tell me, was there any input from the union on the organisation of the revision and if so by who? Management have a galling habit of assuming that because soomething has been discussed with the Rep, then it is agreed - not the case however. Our rep and DOM worked together on all the revisions that were out forward (seven in total I believe).

Who are the 'higher-ups' you refer too - Unit level .. Area level .. Divisional level? Has the Revision been put through the IR Framework?
Irrespective of whether CWU members are recommended to accept a given proposal (by Unit/Area/Div Rep), CWU members decide on whatever proposal is put to them in a vote (show of hands, etc). Only when an acceptable proposal is in the majority (and within the terms of national agreements) will the Unit/Area Rep sign off the Revision on behalf of CWU members.

It's been going back and forth between rep/dom and the area manager but he finally accepted it, then it went above him and got agreed.
