Consultation and Communications with all CWU Members
The Postal Executive has also agreed to embark on our biggest ever consultation exercise with all CWU members. This will utilise the full range of communication tools, be supported by our Communications Department alongside the engagement of an external communications company.
This will provide a genuine opportunity for two-way communications that will directly engage CWU members and gain support for our policy. We recognise there is work to do and we are determined to get underneath some of the problems CWU members are experiencing at local level due to unreasonable pressure from managers.

God knows what she would have got if profits were stable or increased :shock:How come we don't get the same "share in failure" bonus ,we all work for the same service.
Yes Fishtank. It is squeeky bum time for some branch officials. Its best to do this after the local elections anyway rather then the typical canvasing type excersise.
I don't know if it is just me but should the consultation not have taken place before the negotiations on the rest of us took place, just to give the negotiators a hint as to what the real members are feeling.

It's a good point...unless you are driving forward your own agenda then it just becomes the kids in the back of the car wanting to go to the park when you know you are going to B&Q.
The fact that the kids own the car and pay you to drive it is....immaterial.
There is a number of issues which the national union has to achieve , safeguard jobs , safeguard pensions , resolve colleague share and find out more about the 5 year plan.
In additon it needs to review the current agreement. This is where the consultation comes in. We did not need a consultation exercise on the London Mail centre issues as we had balloted them for stike action.
Now i am sure all this will happen. However there are only so many hours in the day and the union only has 6 national postal officers who are dealing with a range of issues currently.

So what is different about the issues involving London and the issues which involve the greater number of members, it does smack of favouritism...........there's only so many hours in the day so lets' deal with the smaller number first As someone quite rightly said it has been six weeks and what you are saying is , yes yes we'll get round to the rest of you eventually................I would like to remind the union that the largest proportion of funding is Outside London and those members are to be ignored at their peril. i would say walk out go on strike unofficially leave london out of it see what happens fcuk all up their own arses

we took unofficial action re suspension 2 weeks ago hq stepped in we will deal with it sort all other probs out re bullying harrmt etc we will send people out
guess what fcuk all
ie dont rock the boat as long as were alright
