Annual Leave
Are many people experiencing problems with taking their annual leave entitlement? Managers refused my request for leave later in the year on the basis that it would exceed the cap for our office of two off. They seem to only want to grant leave in the short term, or on their conditions.

Yes, not allowed to take leave in February or March. so no choice but to carry three weeks leave forward to the next year.

Blimey! 
We have 60+ outstanding days across the office. Managers keep stalling, and say "if its means anything to you, I cant take all my leave either!"
Now, we dont believe that do we eh?

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

Request the days/weeks you want and when they refuse put in a grievance. It is your holiday. You are entitled to it.
What will be different next year? Or will you have to carry over an accumulated 6 weeks?

Some people have carried over odd days already. But I said to one of the managers, what makes you think it'll be any easier next year? Didnt really get a response. But from another office close to me. seems the managers are trying it on there too :vcfo
