stage warnings

just been put on a stage 1 after having a opperation. i was off from work for 4months. before this opp i had a very good sick record. i have been a royal mail employer for 12 years. is this fair?

I had a Stage because I had to have an operation on my leg because of an AOD.........so no Stages arn't fair but there is nothing we can do about it

They are these days. It helps them get rid of people on the cheap.

Unfortunately must stages are now issued with no regard to mitigation stated at the meeting. Rm opinion in my view is that if it was unfair do not worry you have a appeal process at stage three. Problem with that is you then are fighting to keep your job then , and hopefully any stages issued unfairly will be overturned. Best thing you can do is take a Rep in get as much mitigation down as possible. That will give the Area Rep some good points to argue if it gets to stage three or worse case scenario an appeal or tribunal. Do not go in alone thinking oh well it is going to be issued anyway, what’s the point saying anything. Make the manager write down all your points and do not sign the notes off till every point is down, you can not add points later.

could not agree more put down everything from not having your back to work done to how long its took them to give you the stage at the moment i say the sick has gone up due to park and loop and unrealistic work loads.
