are managers allowed to do postmans work like prep dutys cut and tip or can we ask them not to do it ?

ask him if it affects the hours to volume of mail in office
ask for job to be put back in place these practises only put false figures into YOUR daily workload

Ask him if his job is so piss easy that he has time to do yours.
Ask your DOM if using a manager on managers wages to do OPG work is a reasonable use of office resources.
Ask him what he plans to do on the dole.

i reckon most manager i ve worked for rather do postie work as they cant handle manager stuff, i say pay them postman pay when they do it!

Plenty of Times we've had PT Posties Refused any OT "Due to Office Budgets"! Then they've come in to find a Manager Prepping their "Deliver Only Duty" Normally making a Really Bad job of it.

Most of them would have been happy to prep it, and get a bit of OT, are you saying that there is a precedent for asking the Managers NOT to do this prep?

Don't expect you'd make any friends around the coffee machine if you did!

If they are Prepping then they are not Managing then if they Managed they would not have to prep... A one off then I dont think any one minds really , if its everyday then its poor planning surely ?

You can ... but you'd have to have the whole office backing you up.

I've seen it happen, the staff on IPS, a manager comes up and starts throwing in. Without a word, everybody stops sorting till the manager sheepishly walks off with that 'I was going anyway' air.
Unfortunately, I've also been in the position where a manager starts doing postmans work and nobody does anything. And if one person does say something, he is just ignored.

So enzio, how strong is your office?
