Bags are going out of service with the introduction of park and loop and trolleys.
The smaller bags are for use in flats/tenements where the weight restriction is 5kg.
The smaller bags are aimed at keeping weight to a minimum, where weight can't be kept off the shoulder completely.

The new pouches with the clips attached for trollies do appear to be smaller than previous pouches and less sturdy!

So is this about pouches or mail bags ?
If it's mail bags how is it that many of the newer ones are too small and don't have four hooks for use on the corners of drop frames ?

If you can walk to your delivery you may be asked to stream the mail down to 1st class and rec/reg etc and take out one bag if its deemed safe to walk.

If you need transport and the vans are stuck then thats it no delivery.
