I have my conduct code official meeting what info can i ask

I finally got my decision regarding me cutting off 4 weeks back, and got to attend a conduct code meeting this coming monday and the charge is going slow

The dom sent me the the weeks figueres and with this evidence they are conducting me for being slow.

Can I ask for copy of the weeks figure's for the week my duty was tested but not with me on it,

Copy of the weeks figuer's for this week as yesterday I went over by an hour,

A list of O/T sheets for those weeks also as I know folks claim pro and nothing is said to them,

Also is there anything else I may need to ask for as I only got the letter today and they have not given me much time to get things sorted my union guy is aware of the meeting but he is not in our office, can i ask management to copy them to send to him.

Any advice would help

The only positive this is my first conduct in 22yrs, and I have not been suspended yet

Firstly I'm wondering what the OFFICE traffic figures have to do with YOUR walk. The UK average wage is what £520/week? does that mean that as a postie I get £520/week?

The traffic figures (unless very very low) prove NOTHING. Next time get your DIM to count all the letters in your frame!

Ask them for YOUR mail figures for that day ,they use the old chestnut about the mail figures .But every delivery is diffrent somedays u have more packets , registers , recorded, tracks ,sometimes u have to break away from your delivery to get your register delivered before 1 pm .Put a letter in asking for your delivery to be timed ,then that puts the ball back in there court

This is not a performance issue.
To move someone through the conduct code for "being slow" it would have to be for deliberately going slow which is a whole different ball game and nothing to do with traffic figures.
If i'm right music4essex you need to get your area rep and branch involved immediately.

Unless a manager followed you throughout the whole of your walk for the day in question, they haven,t got one ounce of evidence against you. Ask them for written confirmation of the day that you are accused of going slow. The name of the manager who accompanied you on your walk who evidenced your slow pace. The onus is on them to justify their statement, and not you having to justify cutting off, as you are not obliged to do overtime, and as long as you have followed the rules for being unable to complete, then you should have no problems. Remember do not try to justify yourself, stay calm and ask them to prove their case. As said before, traffic figures are no justification for what goes on on your walk.

Speak to your Area Rep as soon as you can, I had this a while back, Area Rep asked the DOM for a frame count from the day in question, funnily enough he couldn't provide it, and low and behold it all went quiet and nothing has come of it since.

Did you bang in the grievances for B&H?, because if you didn't you should, that's what I did, and guess what, that DOM doesn't work for Royal Mail any longer, and nor does his DIM who also got mouthy and demanded this and that, bang, grievance in and guess what, he doesn't work for Royal Mail any longer either..................

Suffice to say the managers are very reasonable with all the staff at present, common sense once again reigns at my delivery office

I'd get in touch directly with your area rep and explain over the phone. He/She will be able to give you instant advice over whether your DOM has a valid case (which I doubt) and more than likely they will contact them on your behalf and sort it out.

Firstly do not attend meeting on your own, get your rep or better still your area rep. If you have followed the cutting off procedure they haven't got a leg to stand on, this is nothing short of B&H! Ask them how much mail YOU had on the day in question...they won't know!
They are trying to intimidate you, don't fall for it. At the meeting tell them you intend to take out a grievance against them for harassment, fill in the form and DON'T back down!

Yes FT is right, they must be suggesting you are deliberately going slow, which is more serious than 'being slow' if you get my drift.

You CAN NOT be conducted for going slow you should be trained and 'counseled' long before that.

non culpable efficiency is royal mail jargon for being slower than expected and it is not a conduct issue unless previous criteria's have not been met (extensive retraining). I have read the thread and there is some question if the actual procedures are for RML or POL but as far as I am aware the DOM must be suggesting your slowness was a deliberate act and they would need more than traffic figures to prove that.

Yes they are taking me down the conduct code for this, as you will see by the time of this post i am spending today getting all my paperwork together, the meeting is being rescheduled for later in the week as ADR sub is going in with me,

Now without going into too much details as I am not sure who comes on here, basically the previos day I recieved a letter of dim saying that I was at fault with the dog bite for not carrying a bag with me as I do a cycle delivery( another issue won't go there), Since being transferred into this office 8yrs ago I was never trained on how to do a cycle delivery, I just copied what the other posties done, and would leave pouch on bike and take a bundle and loop or most times just cycle to each addrress and walk up the path with bundle in hand or letters so i can see the bike at all times.

So on that day in question they are doing me for Deliberite going slow, I went by the instructions that was given in the letter( carry a delivery pouch) and that was to carry a fully laden pouch and special pouch and a bag with packets on me as not to leave anything on the bike, now that is a lot off mail to carry and this slows you down, now coupled with a back injury I carry which is classed under DWP as disabilty,( which was caused by a AOD knocked over 2yrs ago and recently in the office yard) I am going to be slow.
coupled with actually going out later by 40 mins because dom had asked for a written report on what the dog owner had said to me 4 days previous, so as you can see I was on a losing battle to even get back on course to be able to complete the delivery , this week has proved it because I went over by an hour to which dom was notified before I left the office and also while out on delivery) and I went out 40 mins earleir on the day in question .

I hope you all wish me luck and I thank everyone for their help it has been really stressful as I am writing this I am in tears, but I need to get my self togther to look at these figues though my maths is crap, my son is really stressed as well he wants to punch my managers face in too much x box I think lol
