I am working on a twilght shift at a mail centre and have been on this shift for over 2 yrs, being asked by the management to revert from a night shift as it would fit in with the contract I was on .I accepted this and have been happy to do it.I am now being told I will have to revert to nights again and this was hard luck.My union rep was unsure if they could do this saying that as it was over 2yrs perhaps I could appeal.
could anyone advise?

I am permanent,I'd like to see something in writing that mentions these sort of things.Is there any union documentation that I could look up or find out about that you know of?Is it in the IR framework?

Its noting to do with MTSF !
