cheaper car insurance ?

I can't find my copy of the courier does anyone know if there is anyone who gives us discounted car insurance ?

You can go through the post office and you should get a discount for being part of RM, but ive found that a comparison web site gets you a better deal :hmmmm

I still got quoted a retarded amount through them even with the so called "discount". Something to the tune of £265 a month lol...

Check out the C.S.M.A. They offer discount on insurance and break down cover.Its for civil servants which covers us (well, for now anyway!!!)

We have been able to negotiate such favourable rates with insurance companies by restricting our membership to just Civil and Public Service staff and their families, although this criterion has been slightly widened in recent years to include the National Health Service, Teachers, Local Authorities, the Armed Forces, Government Agencies or privatised bodies which were formerly part of the Civil Service, such as BT and Royal Mail.

I've just done an online quote as my insurance is due in a couple of weeks and I'm :shock: its £200 cheaper than I've been quoted on the Compare sites.

Its £400 dearer for me, i got £320 on gocompare and £740 with csis! The only difference being the csis does not give the option to have fully comp without the option of using the car to get to work. I dont need that as i walk to work, thats what makes it more expensive imo!
