Waiting for bags !

Our office has changed the driver & route quite a few times & at the mo I am waiting half an hour for my bags I have asked that they be on time & the manager knows I am waiting for them every day, he informs me that it's changing soon but for now my bags are late most days ! this can't be acceptable can it ?

just sit and wait for f**k sake if you are going to be going into o/t you have the option of cutting off ..........but i'd perhaps be a tad presumptious in guessing your a running man or flapper

Of course you can't. Stupid question, really. If part of your 5/8 hours pay includes sitting on your buttocks, waiting for a bag to arrive, I'd suggest you get a smile on your face. Now the weather has improved, you could shove a book in your bag before you go out, and find somewhere pleasant to read it.

enjoy your wait, i dont mean that as funny but clearly your office is yet to lose more walks if you still fin early.

Is it possible for you to take a bit more out with you?
If not then yes you will just have to sit about(and be paid)and wait untill the driver turns up.

You are paid to work x hours - so even with 1/2hr on your arse and you finish early - No you cant kick up.

Actually - yes go on kick up a huge stink - I am sure they'll extend the duty so that you'll have something to fill your contracted hours

BTW the 1/2 hr your waiting - is that because you dont take your break - if you don't why not delay going out for 30 minutes and spend it inside in the warm and dry.

If you do take your break then take your time on your first bag, or bag up your 1 and 3rd......etc bags more slowly.

one of the major problems in our office is there is no consistency when people are allowed to leave for delivery,i got so pissed off driving about like a looney trying to keep people happy i finally said enough is enough,i now leave at 9.30 everyday to do peoples bags,i've told everyone they need enough to keep them going up to 10.30,if they are waiting tough titty,took loads of stress off my shoulders,if manager asks why someone is waiting for there bags i just tell him to keep them in until 10 when they should be leaving,got no answer to that one.

Are you on crack, if this is all you have to moan about you've got it made, i think your an attention seeker if i was your driver you would be waiting for 2 hours in fact i would drop em in the wrong place a couple of times to give you something proper to moan about

I think you blew it when you mentioned finishing early.

I actually have some sympathy having once, several years ago, spent an hour waiting for my first drop bag. After that I switched to doing that particular duty with an HCT rather than a bike. Mind you it took a fair bit longer but at least I was on the move all the time.

Do you think the driver is taking the p1ss deliberately ?? Doubt it .

When i moved to a new office i was put on driving duties . New area not got a clue about and I had to deliver posties bags .

Yes I was late sometimes and some moaned about it but SO WHAT ! ? ! ?

If your finishing before your time then really i dont have a clue why your complaining . Get on with it .

Like someone said earlier ...... If I were your driver I WOULD deliberately make you wait longer and fk up your day more .

NO-ONE likes to wait for bags but sometimes it DOES happen .
