A lot of offices have had some time to bed into the system, and its the so called quiet season for a couple of months, so....

Does the P&L or going solo with a HCT work out for you? This is without coming in early rushing around and working excessive amounts of overtime.

There is no doubt that some duties CAN EASILY be done on time in our office, 2-3 hours sometimes can be saved on a few select rurals or business drops. The majority of rounds though are monsters.

I have only occasionally finished slightly early as a reserve, normally I cut off or extend if I fancy the OT

my duty is about 1hr to 1.30hrs over ,doing the job exactly as required..did the job with my partner for a month not leaving a thing and doing everything by the book,we now leave mail in order to finish.was asked to leave packets but just said that packets are not the problem as i was going to the addresses anyway so left mail in.i already know what the problem is,its a combination of the trolley and pairing up which takes more time than they think,some dozy,stupid(and many insults id like to use) person said dont use a trolley and you can manage it all...i cant print my reply but im still using the mandatory trolley and leaving the mail for dom to sort out

My HCT duty works on a light day but busy day with lots of packets is a nightmare.

I guess these revision are designed to fail because a manager informed me today that the daily reports that all units must complete, now asks how many managers have been used for deliveries.

Am sure I read (and remembered) somewhere that the baseline figures for revision mail volume are based on the lowest two weeks of the year. So; if that is the case and P&L etc is based around that premise... Then it can nevr f***ing work.

Add the packets , tracked , specials etc and then you are more screwed.

Who thought this crap up?

The senior managers in this company are seriously detached from reality.
Now that we've cut hours from your office to the less than the bare bones, remmember you must complete.

Our office has been on for a couple of months now.

On the whole, the system "works"....

Actually, it's been deemed as "working", and "achievable" by management and area management.

HOW IS IT WORKING???????

1. Management, and people on docket are prepping the rounds for people before their start times.

2. Same people are prepping D2D's into frames.

3. Large packets and Tracked items are being taken off and put onto a "packet duty", lol,

4. Posties are taking bags on shoulders, this being the quietest time of year it's possible, management not only turning a blind eye but positively encouraging this.

So, it's "working". Does it actually work? No feckin chance.
