PT DRIVER WITH NOT ENOUGH TIME TO COMPLETE

Just a comment really as i know the answer,Im on a 32.5 hr contract and have been a spare now for 18mths , I have been given 40hr driving duties which i have not got a prob with but still start at 7.30 finish at 2.00 , managment not prepared to give the extra hours. OK this is where it gets annoying came in today at 7.30 and various comments from other drivers as they had to do my cut off packets between them from day before and were not happy , i dont ive a toss about RM managment but feel that this has caused bad feeling amongst work colleagues. yours advise would be appreciated..

Ask your colleagues to stop with the comments as you feel they are unwarranted.
If they persist..... Then a more formal complaint may be an option.

If you "f**k up" in managements eyes...your mates get beasted.
Peer pressure is supposed to bring you back into line.
Ignore it...if the other drivers have the time to do it....tough.
This isn't the army.

Your "colleagues" should be working "Properly", then they'd have no time to deliver your left-overs. Try putting on a MP3 Player with a set of head phones, then you ignore their Digs quite easily! Sometimes I'm not even listening to anything but they're a great way of Blanking Out Idiots!

Just tell them to speak to management if they have a problem as you are doing nothing wrong. I bet they wouldn't work over thier hours for free so why should you? As FT says it's an old tactic, peer pressure, divide and rule, etc.

If doing your packets takes them over time then they should refuse to do them, if they can do it in thier contracted hours they should shut the feck up!

If you can manage to ignore them without 'losing it' one day or feeling harrassed then yeah probably a better way.
