Not sure if this is the right place to post this but....
On the June the 25th my wife and I ,both Royal Mail posties and both in REME TA will be marching from HMS Nelson in Portsmouth to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire a distance, using mainly footpaths,of over one hundred miles in aid of SSAFA http://www.ssafa.org.uk/ mostly on our own.
It's a bit misleading to state "On the June the 25th my wife and I will be marching from HMS Nelson in Portsmouth to RAF Lyneham in Wiltshire a distance of over one hundred miles" when in fact you will be doing it "over five days starting from the 25th of June to the 30th", which surely is SIX days, not one or five.

FFS does it matter? Just give a bit of encouragement for a good cause can't you?

It would have been unfortunate if any of us had donated any of our hard earned wages on the basis of them walking 100 miles in a day when only a fraction of this distance was covered each day but with the their bodies weakened over the years by heavier bags and longer rounds most on here will accept that 20 or 25 miles a day is an appropriate distance and will wish them well.
Oh yes, and it took us five days!!.
We suffered mild heatstroke on Sunday and our walking speed dropped but we also managed a thirty miler in one day so hit the five day target..
Although you did bring back some bad memories of "beasting sessions" and Tabs I did round Lyneham.
