royal mail interview

i was advised to come here by a member of royal mail that didnt know the answer lol

ok i got a text message from royal mail today saying to check my emails about booking an interview. i did this and there was no email from royal mail so i went onto my applications and booked the interview for thursday at 12. it says on royal mails website that you have to bring a number of things with you, but that they are outlined in the email i never received.

could someone please tell what i need to bring with me to the interview. i know 2 things are proof that im living at my house and a photocopy of my passport including the front page. what else?

i was a christmas casual and had to print of my whole application form and bring it with me along with the mentioned above but could someone just create a check list for me as i dont want to miss anything as i really want this job.

That automated applications system is annoying isnt it! Especially as there is no one to contact when things go wrong like this. Anyway last time i went for an interview the forms were the same as the xmas forms so that would be a good place to start. Hopefully the email might be just a little delayed and turn up in a couple of days.

You could always give them a ring at the DO to make sure you bring enough information with you for the interview.

In the past, you also took along any educational certificates.

2 forms of ID and driving license if it's a driving post

I'd take with you (including photocopies of) Passport, Driving licence and a utility bill of some sort. So you should effectively have 2 forms of photographic ID and 2 proofs of address at the same time

I recently had to take in my passport as some new rule means they have to have certain things on file.

One of the alternatives was to take in my National insurance card, you might want to take that with you as well as the passport, driving licence and any other proof of address?

Good luck tomorrow. Here's an excerpt from the email I received, hope it helps.

We now wish to invite you to attend an interview.

There are three documents attached at the bottom of this email, which you must open, print and complete prior to your interview.

1) Checklist for Interview detailing the documents you are required to produce at interview.

Note-The assessors will be unable to photocopy your documents on the day. Therefore, it is vital that you take photocopies of your documents to the assessment and also the original documentation for legislation requirements. Please note, if you are using your passport as one of your documents you need to take a copy of the front cover as well as the personal details page.

2) Royal Mail Health declaration.
This must be printed, completed, and brought to your interview.

3) Referencing Consent form
This must be printed, completed and brought with you to interview.


If the role you have applied for involves driving you will also need to bring your driving licence, including the paper counterpart, with photocopies of both of these documents.

If it's anything similar to the one I had near the end of last year,there'll be two people in the room with you,one asking questions with the aid of a crib sheet and the other making a note of your answers.
