Revision Horror!

So the revision hit our office hard 3 weeks ago. I've worked at the office for 4 years and never made a fuss before the revision. I've done 9 different dutys so far and finished once on time without doing overtime or bringing any back. I'm 30 hours so work 6 hours a day with 30min meal break scheduled to start at 8:45 and finish at 2:45. I'd say i've finished 3 times going 30/40 mins overtime.
The main problem is actually getting out onto the round, it's confusing as to whats supposed to happen when I get into work half the time my mail has been thrown into the frame, sometimes not.

Yesterday we got out after 12:00. finished the first round at 2:50 & still had to do the 2nd duty. I'm supposed to finish at 2:15 without a meal break and didn't fancy finishing at 5:00. this has happened about 3 times give and take.
We've been bringing the mail back in our office but the managers now said if we take the mail out we're making a commitment to deliver it! But everytime I approach him in the morning to tell him we can't complete, he either refers me to another manager who then says I need to speak to the office manager, or he has a little strop but eventually caves in and actually takes some off us. Still have to bring some back half the time though.
Getting pretty sick of making a fuss every morning but there doesn't seem to be any other option!

What has everyone else been doing if they can't complete?

p.s every day i'm totally knackered!!!! hope everyone is having as much fun as us!

Keep moaning mate...it's the squeaky wheel that gets the oil. If your Managers are Playing "Pass the Parcel" surely they're wasting their own time? Means you've got less time out on the road!

Didn't your office have extra support on the Revision Start Up? By this I believe they mean they've OKd Overtime for you, and your colleagues to come in early..do IPS and Prep so they can get everyone out the door at their correct times. I believe the idea is so they can then get a "True" picture of how long the duties are taking!

The best thing is only tell one manager but have someone with you when you tell him for witness but only tell him once walk away guess what mail you think you can't get done leave that on the frame and just work you time (BUT I WARN YOU KEEP A LOG BECAUSE BECAUSE THAT MANAGER WILL DENIGH IT WHEN IT COME TO THE CRUNCH)

I'm pretty sure you can't just leave mail on your accord, it must be agreed or it's wilful delay.

More likely unexcused delay but your right,if you are leaving anything make sure you make it clear exactly what you are leaving.
And don't finish early...
5 or 10 minutes can be justified....30 mins and you are in the s**t.

Sorry forgot to put that bit in to tell him what you will be leaving. I don't think anyone can know exactly how much to leave if you do think you havn't taken enough you than use you common sence and pace youself and get back on time.

Wilfully delay thats a joke in our office all the Pacels that are left undelivered each day.
