Started Friday, sore wrist, worse Saturday, eased yesterday and sore again today.

Pretty sure its tendonitis as the symptoms are the same.

I reckon 2 and a half hours of sorting, followed by hour or so throwing in is the cause.

Mostly the sorting on the primary, 4 of us makes it take ages, manager doesn't give a toss.

What can I do?

Cant throw in other walks as it the same problem.

That leaves packet sorting.

I could use my left hand but that would be very very slow.

I can see a bust up with the manager on the cards here, and he's gunning for me.

On a side note can he stand there all morning staring at the 4 people sorting? I feel it the most as im the first in his line of sight, its really intimidating and puts me right off.

If you have suffered an occupational injury then there is nothing the DOM can do. The law is on your side here.

What kind of office has just 4 people sorting?

He is entitled to "supervise the sorting"...if you had a strong union rep then perhaps you could try and play the 'intimidating/unfair pressure/ victimisation...card but it sounds like you don't have that option...

No rep but U usually take the lead when I can.

4 sorters today and one on packets as he thinks were getting out too early and finishing too early, he tried putting on extra lapsing but no one would touch it last week.

Told us today there were managers from other offices patrolling to find out what time we are actually finishing.

Guy just lies and lies, I dont believe anything he says now.

I wouldn't be so dismissive about people out patrolling to see what time you are getting done. They will be more and more of this as the absorption increases and people get pissed off and start bringing it back. Someone was pull at my office just last week for finishing early and has now been told to take 100 extra calls out.

Go to see your GP, get a not fit for work note and give it a few weeks rest

Get it checked by your doctor, could be some form of RSI and you may need a break from it. Any tingling in fingers, could also be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, again, see your gp :)

You should go to the doctor and get yourself checked out you dont want to cause yourself permanent damage. Could also be something like RSI (Repetitive strain injury) so well worth getting it looked at.

getting it in the arm and shoulder badly thumb goes goes numb locked for hours off to see the doctor 5 on our ips most days moral dropped through the floor in the office
