We love a wee whistle in our office, it puts a smile on abdys faces, oor fav is the laurel n hardy tune,or the tune when the clows are comin oot at the circus.... every day, usually after a daily huddle, or the latest brainwashing new idea from the idiots in charge,however, we now have another new dom, shes been here before,uni grad, cried a lot, and got the big sidewards move, but shes back , along wi the old boss fae scotlands capital, hes the new dsm, and weve a new whistlin tune, a classic, puppet on a string.

Office tunes, Office chants, Office animal noises - go on & on & on year after monotonous year by the the same boring bunch of cretinous sheep. And then posties complain when management treat them like cretinous sheep.

Whistling the tune from 'The Great Escape' seems to lift morale around here...
One particular DOM that we had was an absolute uber-arsehole and seemed to have that Napoleon complex, that being he would make up for his lack of physical stature and personality by attempting to big himself up by belittling others; employing overtly unnecessarily heavy-handedness and conduct coding people for even the slightest misdemeanour. Well in his case the deliberate and wholesale whistling of the Oompa Loompa song from Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory became an essential form of psychological insubordination across the entire shop floor and suffice to say he went off with (apparently) a major mental breakdown and that particular turd hasn't been seen since!

We've the usual Animal Noises etc. The whistling does my head in, no good telling anyone to shut up though because then you get ALL that aisle doing it Yesterdays tune of the day by one postie was Londons Burning, wonder if he knows something we don't

OK... Office tunes do come in useful to target a manager, but other than that it just seems so juvenile.

I thought you were the same office as me for a moment, until I read further down. Whistling Laurel and Hardy is also popular in our office. In fact, there is a picture of them on the union room door with the caption 'Another fine mess' It is done towards one manager in particular who gets really wound up by it. Actually not done so much lately as we have a half decent DOM and half decent managers too. But P & L is coming up, so I'm sure the familar refrain will be striking up again soon!
