Planning Teams?

Who are these planning teams? They have been at our office for months now, and after all this time, all thats happened is ive been shown a map of my existing walk with some squiggles and some dots. I think these represent the loops and the parking points. I was asked what i thought and were theses ok places to park. I could see it was total crap and mostly wrong, so i said it was spot on to the manager. Are these planners so unbeleivably lazy that they cant drive out and look for themselves?

Madness - most people I know have planners in that don't ask for input and then have to sort out the chaos caused. You have been given the chance to affect the delivery when the changes come in and yet you decided not to point out the errors.

A little input and tweaking at the point is going to make your delivery easier in the future.

As to planners ging out and checking the deliveries and not doing so is lazy. Well it might be lazy but how many posties complain that a delivery is laid out wrong and that if they had planned it they would have done it differently. I sincerely hope that this does not bite you or your colleagues in the arse in the future.

These people are paid good money to do these jobs. i get paid for putting letters through doors. if they wanted me to plan my walk, they should have asked me in the first place and paid me accordingly.

Planner couldn't plan their own way to the bathroom, the only people who can plan duties are the people who actually do them (but then that wouldn't create the savings that RM wants).

Apparently so I know they are going a strange way about it but that is their aim

You should clock the utter chunt we have planning longer, harder, walks for us. Fat? haven't seen that amount of lard since I did a Saturday job stacking shelves at David Craig's many, many, moons ago.
Tell you what though, I'd have the fooker doing the worst walk of the lot for the next 10 years, that's if the lardy chunt lasted more than 10 days.

Very funny DH. Maybe its coincidence but ours fits that exact same description. Im sure they are not all failed posties who have toaded their way into a cushy number. Royal Mail must have brought these people in from outside and they are all highly qualified and extremely capable indiviuals. Not just some fat toss rags who would piss their pants with fear if you asked them to do one of these walks

....YEP! our planner had me up to look at my walk and was showing me all the places to park the van using google street view! Turns out on the day the pictures were taken there was a space on a one way street which never usually has any spaces. also, one road was being re surfaced when the picture for google maps was taken....so now it has the big double yellow lines re painted so we cant park there! what a spanner...erm..i mean planner.
