our rep stands in the managers startup meetings and has a jolly old laugh and joke with them.. is this common practice or just our mail centre?

Yes our ADR came from our office and his replacement are both very very good, we also have an excellent trainer (forgot the official term) and some very good ex reps and activists. Cant complain to be honest, though it does appear that my office does have more people willing to raise their heads above the parapet when needed, rather than look the other way or hope someone else is willing to take the risks.

if you dont like it change it...i am now a rep and can see both opinions..i am a militant bast*rd and enjoy running the dom around....not as easy as it seem s but in my short term as a rep i've had a few victorys for the boys......but i do think the rep training should be better ...they seem to leave you to your on your own if you dont "chase them"

However I take you are referring to CWU reps in RML rather than CWU reps in general?

Yes we have a very good rep - however he hasn't got any support from above (area rep) and so has no choice but to leave. We will be left without a rep and will be sitting ducks
