Driver training - What should i expect?

Hey, i have my driver training soon. Apparently its only like half an hour. What will it entail?

AFAIK its only an assessment rather than a test or training.

hi mate , dont panic its just a general drive around to see if you can actually drive , i felt the same when i had mine but there is nowt to it , you cant fail it or anything so i wouldnt worry about it !

lol why the hell do they call it 'training' then?! It sounds more like a basic test of your driving capabilities :S

The 1st part of driver training involves you proving that you can hide until the I.P.S is finished. Then you go on to the 'looking busy while actually doing f all' phase of the training. Once you go out on to the road you need to show that you are capable of finding a layby in the middle of nowhere and multitasking by reading The Sun, eating a sandwich and farting. Finally, you need to show that you are able to estimate that by now the DOM should have gone home and it's safe to go back to the office.

Work has to be done.

Involves driving a transit van or bigger around for 20 minutes or so, reverse it round a corner, parallel park it in a space big enough for a jumbo jet, very basic stuff.

Then welcome to hell cos you'll be on packets, rurals, conveyance, bag drops, stick to town walks..............much easier ;)
