I was a postie for nearly 14 years but was fortunate to escape in April, now working for an engineering firm, a far cry from RM.

I got out just before the later working hours were implemented in my local office, longer deliveries, working until 2.30 pm, 5 Saturdays out of 6.... Sorry but that's crap, and everyone I've spoke too at my new job couldn't believe that when I told them...

Good luck to everyone still doing the job, I used to enjoy it once upon a time, now I feel sorry for those wanting to leave but not able to due to the current job market.

Shafted by both RM and the CWU, I dread to think what madcap ideas and unrealistic demands will be placed on my old work mates next...

Yes, totally shafted by Management and Union.

The way it's going, with this management, delivery staff will be turning up for work,
and immediately given their 8hrs worth of walking for that day.

Maybe good training for the olympics, but I'm f***ked now doing 4hr delivery!
