Secret addresses?

I had the uneviable honour of sitting in with our planner today going through A plus and the mapping verification software in the run up to our revision. All quite tedious until he asked our DOM a question. 'Do you have any secret squirrel addresses here?' Yes, was the reply. As we'd already discussed the ridiculous amount of abbreviations and acronyms in RM I asked what they were. They're secret said the planner and both refused to tell me what they were, when I escaped for the day I saw the reserve who's looking after the PHG job for the week and asked him, he didn't know either but knew we had two and that if mail arrives for either address it's to be handed to the DOM.

Now I hate mysteries like this, the conspirisist in me says MI6 safe address or witness protection but it's probably some boring quality control programme in reality, anyone know for sure?

Pretty sure they weren't judging by the tone of the conversation, PHG stand in said there was a notice on the wall about them until they decorated a month ago. I'll have a look in the walk log tomorrow, he thinks there was a laminate for it in that too.

just a named property that doesnt exist on one of the streets in the duty

used to get an odd official looking letter and they had to be reported to a manager immediately.

must have been a test on the DO as he would ring somewhere ASAP.

not been used for years, the last time we had planners in i was covering the duty and pointed the address out on the map

All i can think it to be is,

It's houses in your town/office that get test letters sent by an outside independent body. No one's meant to know about them. It's to judge the areas percentage quality for first/2nd class delivery.

One point , nearly half of the west of scotland management was suspended because of this a few years ago.(there was a whistle blower) No one's meant to know which addresses they are.

It seems your DOM is getting someone to delivery these houses personally to keep his offices quality high, hence he gets his bonus.

I think that you will find that it is a safe address for M16 etc.any PHG on here will know for sure.
