2 THINGS ALL DELIVERY ROYAL MAIL STAFF SHOULD DO.

firstly DO NOT GO INTO WORK BEFORE YOUR START TIME.
secondly FINISH TO YOUR CONTRACTED HOURS.
if all staff followed these two steps,our job would be so much easier.
come on you weak staff out there show some guts and bloody stick together.

Only 2?? How about take your break, dont use your own car, do d2d's in works time, work from the back of your van at all times, p739 all packets(dont leave them anywhere).......etc etc. Sure there are loads more that i cant think off at the moment as well.

Many part-timers have turned up at our D.O. expecting to be full-time within a couple of weeks.
It's what they used to tell them at the interview so they would take the job.

Theres are tens of thousands of people in this country on vastly superior wages who cant.

one thing all part time delivery staff should do is forget about being on a 40 hr or 39 hr contract that aint gonna happen 30 hr maximum.
i been workin for this firm (its not a public service anymore) for 23 yrs and guess what they told me at the interview "you will probably be on full time hrs (41.1/2hrs)
within 2 months it took a transfer to another office and 4 years before full time. any full time jobs that go out of delivery will never be replaced.

it would be great if all delivery staff could do this but they will not...most cannot shake off the mind set of "making time" this is the reality....i do sympathise with part-time staff and their predicament, however things are only going to get worse...more part-time is royal mails aim.
