Yes Royal Mail got Nationwide Building Society contract.
As a present DHL- YODEL Bank Courier for the next 4 weeks until 24th June 2011; I been informed I am transfering over to Royal Mail via TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment)

I ask, anybody any knowledge about these TUPE transfers of ex DHL-YODEL employees to the Royal Mail ?

My biggest concern is that I know all their bank operations runs from Bristol, where at present I operate in Wales.

An insight to pay, weekly hours, etc of a Royal Mail Bank Courier, or any additional info about the job, would be appreciated.

Nationwide print all their statements in Swindon and distribute them as DSA although I can't recall which provider, is this the Nationwide contract you mean? Or the one for material movements?

TUPE means your conditions shouldn't get any worse, you might even get a pay rise to RM rate. Standard rate is £356.60/week, payslip Thursday and paid into your account each Friday. Do make sure overtime is paid and always keep a record. Pensions should be transferred if you're already in a scheme but find out for certain - RM has several generations of scheme. You can "buy" up to 6 weeks holiday a year, standard for a new starter is I think 4½ weeks, this increases with service length so you should get more taking into account previous employment duration.

The contract is for the Nationwide Internal mail. The guys let themselves in/out of banks to collect/deliver mail.
