Accident at work and a stage 1

I was under the impression that if you had an accident at work it wouldnt trigger a stage warning but was told today that it does. Has it changed recently then or was i wrong to think that from the start?

it might trigger a stage but it will get appealed in a stage 3 thats what i thought

Had an accident at work earlier in the year and was up for a Stage 1. I forgot about the meeting and the manager came out later and told me to forget about it.

Union rep reckons they should not be given for an accident at work.

What was the accident, were there witnesses and did you have time off work

Accidents which happen in the course of Royal Mail work would normally be discounted.

Manager's discretion was what union bloke told me. I didn't get one for my AOD. But it took a lot of debate to get it that way :)
