can not say what office i work in but just lately there is a major problem whith the union members in it we have had are revison put in park and loop but it is not working so they want to get things sorted but they dont want to do anything about it.asked if they would like to ballot for a work to rule eg no o/t no coming early just work your hours knowing that with in a week the office would have mail coming out of every where but they dont want to do it but want the changes what the f#### can you do if the members wont do anything ?

our area rep said there no point in voting for a work to rule just do the job properly

There is no such thing as "Work to Rule". I think if there was it'd probably be illegal. you are quite correct Bring, all you have to do is work "Properly" no way can that be seen as illegal. In fact if everyone in RM worked "Properly" the business would probably crash n burn as there's no way they can operate under those conditions!

Royal Fail rely on a "Work Hungry" workforce of part-timers fighting each other for any available Over Time. We're our own worst enemies when it comes to it, but I realise you can't ask people to stand on principles when there's bills to be paid. Especially when they know if they turn down the over time some one else will grab it.

People get "work to rule" and "overtime ban" mixed up all the time.
I don't know why because the clues are there in the words.
