Is there a ghost in my van.

Post by jaylime »

Got out of my Bipper yesterday, walked to the back, checked my next drop, walked back to the drivers door, the van had locked itself internally. So theres me freezing in shirt sleeves locked out with the engine still running.Management are saying i left the van unattended, which is bollocks cos i was in the back when it locked.Anyone else had a problem like this.

FFS, how many times?? If you get out of the drivers seat then you turn the engine off and take the keys with you, all the crap that's been posted on this site and people still don't get that

I've locked myself out of my van(Vauxhall Vivaro) a couple of times. Put the keys down in the back while refilling pouch, shut the door and a long walk to the phone box :d'oh!
So keep on moving, moving, moving your feet
Keep on shuf-shuf-shuffling to this ghost dance beat
Just keep on walking down never ending streets

Don't worry Postman, most of the convey drivers have done that when the Maxus vans first made an appearance :whistle

So hold on a sec,if i had walked to the back door and kept my hand on the van at all times, how could that be construed as unattended,do me favour its 2 paces to the back door.

Someone could just get into the van and drive off without you being able to stop them, it's common sense especially with with RM wanting to get rid of staff on the cheap.

Might only be 2 paces. 1 push to the ground off they drive with your van. End of job.

Know that feeling...Shut the door...f**k where's the keys? Only excuse is that as a Reserve your always swapping between different vans (now you can add the Bipper to that list) each one has it's own little tricks!

Want a laugh?...jumped into a Bipper switched on the ignition..took a quick glance at the instrument panel and thought...s**t nearly out of Fuel. Drove to the Filling Station tried to fill up and it'd only take about 10 litres! Had a look at the Fuel Gauge, thought maybe it only Registers when the ignition's switched on, switched it on!.....DICKHEAD :arrrghhh it was already FULL

Have you ever noticed the Bipper's fuel gauge goes the opposite way to the Old Vauxhall Combi? I know now! :d'oh!

Lol one of our drivers did this recently! Luckily i was still in the van waiting to be dropped off. All i could hear was loads of rustling and banging then this 'heeeelp'! A different driver also told me of how he was stuck in the back of the van for 25 mins until a passing builder let him out! Drivers eh? :chuckle
