Customer allegation

A man is claiming 2 letters he posted have never arrived. He says he handed them to me as i returned to my van after emptying a box, and that he put them in my bag. I have no recollection of it at all, can i been conduct coded and why? Thanks Seano.

surely its your word against his take no notice, how many letters must go missing somewhere everyday

Cheers, Thats what i am saying too. However, i read before somewhere that there is a conduct code issue if we accept mail, away from the box. Just wanted to clarify what it was called, and consequences in case they take HIS wod!! Thanks.

Don't think you've got anything to worry about mate. I was always led to believe that if someone stopped you, under the circumstances you mentioned, it was OK to "Offer" them your open sack and let them put the mail in. Stopping anyone saying, "I gave it to the Postman". As opposed to putting in your shirt pocket, which is asking for trouble!
