so can someone tell me why there are so many w##### in this job now ? i know the job is a lot harder then it use to be but its still a job all you have to do is work your hours what so f##### hard about that if you can not complet a duty in the time you cut off

i think its quite short sighted to just keep repeating 'work to your time' and 'just cut off'. Do you have a permanent contract? Have you been there longer than a year so have access to employment tribunals? Not all of us do! And some of us have kids that might not eat because your tyrant bully of a lino / DOM decides to sack you as an example to the others! And maybe some people just cant really be ars** to be arguing with their managers every single day! you should be mindful that not everyone is in the same position as yourself.

Ok firstly that’s not really a polite reply is it.

We all know the problem. For years and years the work has been job and finish and anyone who’s worked at RM for more than say 7 years has it in the blood to rush around and get done asap, its very hard to change. Sadly some just cannot stop themselves even though they are digging a great big hole by starting an hour early then rushing around and using their own cars etc. Those days are all but gone now and this is just playing into RM’s hands as they can CUT CUT CUT and still bring in summer absorption on top for those who make a little time.

The answer will come when ALL rounds are more or less equal and everyone is working to their finish time. Then the ones who are born flyers will be doing about 30% more work per day than the more steady workers but finishing at the same time, and yes this IS coming.
