Does anyone know if Royal mail are transfering full time employees into Surrey or Kent as getting a transfer back to London is proving impossible. Does anyone know of any current vacancies in these areas or the phone number for the area manages in these areas. Thanks

I signed up on the Royal Mail Recruitment site for email alerts for royal mail vacancies . I get emails most days with vacancies in the areas I might be interested in transfering to.

Thanks, just done that. Getting a transfer back into south london is proving impossible but fingers crossed, been waiting for 8 months now already.

I've been waiting 3 years to get a transfer from sheffield to leeds and still waiting

Best advise we give on this is to go down to the offices that you may want to go to and see them personally.

You're unlikely to be able to get a transfer to Kent as I think RM are closing all 3 MCs in Kent and building a super-MC (thread about it somewhere in the forums).

Thanks people, i think my partner may have to go into the offices personally and give that a try. Finding it hard to get the area managers numbers for Kent and Surrey, London looks just impossible but its where my partner needs to be, hes done 4 atos interviews all in agreement he needs to be transferred back to South London where he used to work and still nothing has happend, seems like they were all a complete waste of time.

Still searching for phone numbers for surrey and kent area managers, partner is wanting a transfer desperatey, hes travelling from london to bedford each day and then back, taking its toll, he wants south london but its looking like a no, so maybe kent or surrey, if anyone can help please let me know.
