Asked my dom if there was the remotest chance of a bonus payment in the dim distant future. He replied " You guys already have the best bonus in the world, job satisfaction". Iv'e only just stopped laughing. :left:

Yes well sometimes quotes come back to bite you in the bottom..........what was it the agreement said "overarching......avoid......compulsory redundancy"
well it looks like some got seriously rolled over by not understanding the agreement.

Do you really think things would have been better without an agreement ? Do you believe the pay offers would have been on the table , do you think the 6 phase process would be on the table , the lump sums , the £20.60 would of not existed and Royal Mail would have ceased door to door payments , the improved attendances , the improvements in MTSF and countless more issues.

Royal Mail did not orginally want an agreement. Royal Mail did not want to pay for change,. The strike forced them into one. Their business plan is not working , they are paying out more in lump sums then they are making in savings from the revisons.

This is why Royal Mail want out of the agreement. They have agreed a new harsher business plan with the Government as they do not believe they will ever make the savings they believed they would. Royal Mail operational managers are moaning that the agreement stops them making the savings quickly and meeting their targets.

Now everyone is entitled to their own view. I still remain convinced the agreement was needed. I dont like everything in the agreement and I do believe that Royal Mail"s delivery best praticse revision process which includes IWT , Geo route , CDVs and walk sequencing is a disaster and does not work and needs to be re-negotiated. But do you really think that you would be better off without an agreement. If you do then your on the same page as Royal Mail operational managers who also want out of the agreement as they want to introduce their revisions quicker and without the benefits and without your reps input.
