B*stards finally payed/paying me what was owed

Nearly 3 months after I left for a new job, I have finally been paid monies owed and 'promised' my other payment of holiday pay, this Friday. Only after getting Employment Tribunal involved though. Should name and shame the bosses at my old depot who tried to along with DOMS, bully/harass and just fob you off with bullsh*t when asking questions about money you are owed-Not all of us are on 50k plus a year

It is a real shame that these types of people, who unfortunately seem to have management type jobs, are helping to ruin this job. Once out the hellhole, the job is ok...great if you have a nice walk(not like the sh*thole 1s I got given 99% of the time) and even though morale may be low, the workforce are in the whole, a good bunch to work with.

And lets hope the union put a stop to these 3 month contracts, as they are an invitation to just be bullied and harassed

Im sorry it didnt work out for you.
It sounds like you tried but... as a newcomer the management probably reckoned you were fair game.
Nice to hear that your workmates were not part of the problem as much as the oppressive team/system in place.

thats just bloody typical of the shower of shite that run and fail in running this once great company. total tossers !!!. anyway, glad to hear your (hopefully) getting sorted and good luck for the future.

This happened to a friend who left, he joined a government employment, I cannot say which one as I will be identified, they owed him 3 months back pay from a pay deal, which was finaly agreed after he left the job, he had to get his Union involved and they immediately paid him, only after firther 3 months of faffing about.

Cheers guys/gals. If the management had any business acumen and knowledge of the workload involved, maybe I wouldn't have witnesses the amount of new guys leaving after a week or 2 as I did. I managed 4 months and the only thing I ever got from them was some useless spikes(That I couldn't use as I wasn't provided with Shoes/Boots) and a Hi-Vis vest. I do miss the freedom of being on a walk etc, but then again as mentioned, did my fair share of the crappy walks in the office- maybe most floaters do in other D.O's?? Or maybe it was because I worked to my time, cut-off and challenged management time and time again

I did wonder if it was just the D.O I was at that was 'run' the way it was, but from the posts on here it seems like majority across the U.K are like it. Maybe the fact that there was no union rep on site made it easier for the bullying etc, not just to new guys either Lost count the amount of times I and some other new guys would just do housekeeping etc and once every1 had left the office, taken to a frame(At approx 12.00 that was either half empty or on some occasions, completely empty and expected to prep and complete a unknown walk.

I took great pleasure in not letting my LINO/DOM know I wasn't returning to work and hoped that 1 of them had some stress/exercise from it Yet, I only did this as I already had a start date for a new job.

Also, I was surprised at the extreme differences in the walks I experienced(Probably around 50 different walks in the 4 months) across 3 postcodes. Some I could complete in 2 hours on an average day and others would be 4 hours on a light day.

I also hope that any new starters will actually have some sort of training, not just sit in a van 1 day and the 2nd day do 1 half of a posties regular walk. Nothing on proceedures/specials/parcels/d2ds and then the bosses wonder why you do not ring/txt in to confirm specials

Anyway, enjoy the summer as i'm sure xmas will be just as bad as the last one
