hi, ive posted a similar question before but im still trying to find out abit more info. i had an interview on 6th may 2011 (a week today) for a postman/driver vacancy.

ive checked the status of my application online and its not changed from 'interview booked'. i was just wondering how long they take to inform you if i have the job or not. im guessing no news is good news. the guy at the interview did say somethin about the paperwork goin to HR after this and then its taken from there.

just seeing if anyone knows bit more about the process. as far as im aware they were taking on 6 people. 2 people no showed at the interview and i think they was interviewing 8 people. it went quite well i think.

im quite keen on the job, just getting itchy feet now. any help would be great.

I went for an interview on the 27th April for a 'Casual Mail Sorter' position and was told that I should hear something within 14 days. [I also gave copies of proof of ID, etc] Status was showing as 'Interview Booked', then on the 14th day it changed to 'Attended interview'. Hoping to hear something from them soon. Its been a long long process, since the beginning of April.

It'll all depend on how desperate that office is for staff and how quickly HR get their finger out - although in the case of the former, most offices aren't short of people who are willing to do overtime to cover staff shortages. In my own case, it took about two and a half months from when I was first interviewed to when I started working.

well as far am im aware they was taking on 6 people. so my guess is they do need people. 2 and half months is pants. hmmm i guess ill take this other job ive applied for until i hear...even tho i dont actually want this other job really...bad times...

I got an e-mail 13 days after interview saying I'd been unsuccessful but was on a waiting list. Think there was something like 10 interviews for 4 positions but a couple no-showed. HR then rang a month later, asking if I was still interested (think some had no-showed on their 1st day, another left after a few days or so) , and I started a few weeks later (my choice as, for one, I wanted an induction closer to home than Mount Pleasant !).
