North East Delivery Offices

This morn we were told we had to fill in A4 sheet, for the next fortnight, to determine our indoor workload.
We had to record time spent on prep, IPS, redirections, deads, every minute had to be accounted for!!

Told this was an initiative in large delivery offices in the North East.

How did everyone get on??

Yeah i got this bs this morning took 5-10 minutes to fill in gonna use same figures for rest of week might adjust them slightly for saturday.

This doesn't sound right to me,there are set parameters regarding throughputs,essentially your manager should already have the information at his disposal,for example he should have traffic figures and will know how long a certain task should take.

Just to be clear,you mention a piece of paper being handed out,but was there any mention of a joint communication between CWU/Royal mail,was there any mention of IWT or Duty Builder for example?
It's a bit late now cos obviously you've filled it in,but i'd still raise the issue with your local union,or on the link i provided.
What's evident in the North-east is,managers are acting on instruction,not agreement!
