Need union rep advice

Hi Guys, Im wondering if there are any union reps on here that I could p.m some questions to. basically, im due for a meeting with my DOM tomorrow, and having never had a meeting, and hearing some stories about managers etc, just looking for some advice. thanks

Best advice I could give is to ask to be allowed a witness in and take notes.

andy, crucial fact is what does Manager want to speak to you about?

If it is a Conduct or related matter he/she should give you notice (which would give you chance to contact a Union Official if you're in Union).
Also some informal 'chats' have a way of progressing to formal conduct so as advised it is always good practice not to be in an office alone if you have any concerns over what is going on. I would love to believe that, as the Conduct Code states, most issues could be resolved informally, however, this is becomingly increasingly rare.

The other classic is the stage I or II Attendance interview which lasts five minutes, remember once you are on the procedure it is vital that you always seek advice and raise any mitigating factors.

You dont need advice from a union rep. You NEED to take in your union rep in for your meeting. POSTPONE the meeting if you are not represented.
