You old cynic....................strange how the N/S divide crops up only under certain circumstances.......................I mean do you ever hear of sympathetic murmurs when the boots on the other foot? Talk about harassment and bullying..............that's been going on for at least three years and prompted the industrial action of 2009.............TBH there ain't much that RM can do to deliveries, they've already done it.

mail centre staff don't get the dly supplement. and as for london, thank god we have some union members with guts to have a go

it's pointless because the cwu don't want to know unless it's london that gets it in the neck then it's a different story

look boys and girls this is the last throw of the dice (i think) we stand as one or get picked off one at a time it will come if we dont "delivery offices merged etc" so it's not just about mc's ....i am from the north (pr) i do understand the problems with everyone supporting london but we all work for the same company but they are playing us against each other..only one winner "rm" you can say what you want but they will and can pick us off locally if we are divided...dont get me wrong i expect (fingers crossed) that the union understand that there are members in the north that feel lets say a little bit pissed off at the lack of attention to our issues but we must "STICK TOGETHER" and also those in the south must stand by us when the needs be.

Of course London is balloting for strike action again as we have no choice as we face compulsory redundnacies. The sad thing is that our members after 2009 do not expect any support from the National Membership or indeed the national union. We will fight Royal Mail`s plans to make complusory redundancies and we may lose or we may stop it but it will be us and some others who fight. You can all stand by and watch good loyal people who dont deserve to be made complsuory redundant by Royal Mail.

All those who are worried about losing a few quid,stand easy.

I think it is less about losing money and more about facing reality, either the work is there or it isn't. TBH the last time London went alone they were out for 17 days as I understand it. There has been only conjecture as to how many IF ANY compulsory redundancies there would be certainly RM haven't produced any.

AS a former london postie, now doing my stuff in scotland, i can see both sides, but the bottom line is, if they do compulsary redundancies in london, that's it, they will do them everywhere, so who will they make redundant first, they old school first followed by the ones who lead!!!!, they will have the yes men in and minimum wage for everyone, don't kid yourselves, this is a fight we have to win, but if i'm being honest, I don't think we can win this.

MCS DONT GET THE DELIVERY SUPPLEMENT -

They get their own which is 1/3 of the Delivery Supplement.


Hopefully at some point this will sink in with delivery staff because it seems as though most believe it.
