Did you go in with a witness or a rep. If not then you could put a grievance in but ultimately it will be your word against theirs.

If you did take a witness/rep in then with a witness they have to be more professional.

Next time you have your HYS - remember this incident and do what the form says.

I often wonder why DOM's work for RM, surely they would make more money as a consultant for BUPA, what with their extensive medical experience. My GP recently returned from spending a year in Cambodia where he was volunteering, maybe this explains why DOM's don't work Saturdays, they are providing free medical care for the poor.

You went for an interview with your DOM while you were off sick!!!

I feel that because of the nature of my sickness it is best to talk to someone medically qualified with regards as to how I go forward with it.

I am writing in response to your email on the 15/02/2011. We have considered your request under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000. In your email you requested the following:

“….could you please provide the number of frontline managers in delivery and processing within Royal Mail Letters who have had medical training to a level that they can ascertain the health of an employee and give advice as to what work the employee can safely do within the business group as apposed to a doctors certificate.”

I can confirm that we do not hold information of the description specified in your request. Employee health services are managed by an external provider on behalf of Royal Mail.
