surprise surprise,weve just had geo route results back in our office,and i am fffffffuming,i am no slouch my own duty is a large rural,i deliver in a well populated village my duty today from 1st to last letter took 5 hr 6 mins i had 8 bags in total,on a handful of occasions i have completed my duty in 4 hours but this has been on a very slack day with prob just 1 or 2 door to doors.on average my duty takes 4.5 hrs + with 4 or 5 door to doors.GEO ROUTE SAYS IT TAKES 3.5 HRS WHAT BULL,i told this to my dom he says he wants me to write down when i put my 1st and last letter in and hand it to him at the end of the week,our smallest town route can be done in 3hr 10 mins only twenty minutes less than my duty ,were the hell do these figures come from.in my 5 hr 6 mins delivery today i only had 2 x 5 min breaksWHAT A JOKE,MOST OF OUR OFFICE ARE VERY UNHAPPY,ANY ADVICE FOLKS..........................

Your rep should investigate, we ran geo and it came out at our duties suprisingly realistic, a few ppl saying if it took me this long id be out till tea time.

Having said that im sitting on my planners shoulders and bugging the s**t out of them, and askiing for all inputted info in hard copy, oh and absolutely critical is that the staff have made their a+ as detailed as possible.

yea same in our office people are working through their breaks to try &complete del.we have got to stand together &do job has it should be done.if you don/t they will come next time for more hrs to take out.this is all about cost cutting &savings for r.m. not for our benefit. disgruntled postie.

Yeah, take your full brake,tell your DOM you won't be able to finish in time.Your going to have to learn to stand up for yourself.Ask yourself, if your manager could do it time?In fact challenge him to do it,even offer him a bet-watch his face go white.But please don't get angry when talking to the Dom, our take it personnel.Just remember Adam Crozier's words"I just want staff to work the hours their paid.,If you can't finish in your time it ain't your fault. Learn to cut off.... ps, job and finish is done.Think off it, as another job and your on a new contract.By the way I do understand you might not like the confrontation, but it has to be done.

Well one loop on my round apparently takes 45 minutes according to the computer. In reality, without any d2ds on a light day one loop takes over an hour and a half [one loop out of three that it has]. My DIM tried to use this figure to make the point that I am working too slow. I pointed out to him that if the computer has underestimated all the revise duties by half it would explain why no one in the office can come even close to completing..... he hasn't spoken to me since so happy days!!!!

Thats what surprised me in my office, we all gave the average times it took to complete our deliveries and then
they were run on geo route and over 90% came out longer than our averages and that was without
replenishment! On the basis of that some are more willing to agree to a longer span,on paper the deliveries
dont seem that bad

does georoute not have a problem with national speed limits on a rural duty, keeps it all at 60 if i remember rightly. mayb get the planner to go over your route with u and
check the road speeds. one of the experts on here will set u straight m8

well it says 5.59kph with trolly. they've set ours to 7kph

for HCT'. it's about 3,57 miles per hour.

Sounds bad if it's right that ours is set to 7kph as all the duties will be too long.(No surprise there). I'd be interested if the 2010 agreement is written down for speeds using a trolly that is used with CDV's. I can't see the figure being right as it's far slower however they want us to use trollies as we do only one pass taking packets too.
