can you go over your union reps head and go to the area union rep for advice. Our rep is getting away with murder and i want the thing sorted!!!!!!!

Yes you can, but get independent advice before taking it any further. I agree some people can be quite dismissive which is sad when they dont really know the situation this person is in. Who knows maybe this bully is a big 6'5 ex bouncer or something and the thread starter has a family of 6 to feed so cant just walk out? No sarcasm here, our long standing Union rep was just the same, if you can, have a word in his shelllike, ------may make you feel uncomfortable, and may even try and cause you some problems--- but one way or another, your standing up to him will end it ! And if he is bullying lots of others at the same time, get together, some of these reps (Sorry to thr good ones!) think they are Management. A bully is a bully. Good luck!-
