1-2-1 Advice/Questions...??
Hi All, Need some advice. Dom wants all staff to discuss the P n L and other work related info with reguards to new workloads/Practices?! on a 1-2-1 .... Any questions (sensible!!!) would be appreciated....

How much do you trust your manager? I believe they're meant to discuss each duty , and any changes that are being made, with each individual duty holder. In that case he's doing his job and allowing you to give him your opinion and have some feed back.
However if that's the case I'd have thought it would include your Rep and possibly the Planner. Perhaps it's just a "Box Ticking" exercise and he just wants to say, "I spoke to everyone on a 1-2-1 basis and they thought it was great"
Always best to have a witness, he might be telling everyone else you thought it was OK and visa-versa.

Park and loop will never work, won't work and can't work. Two people leaving at the same time to deliver mail will never, won't ever and can't finish at the same time. The whole concept will take longer and amount of dead time will increase significantly.
My question would be how is the whole thing possible and how would he suggest it can be achieved?

Park and loop can work and does work,Plain to see in alot of offices the planning has been bad and is not working.
Just be honest with him and tell him what is working and what isn't.
Our manager wanted it to work and made it work,As much as some people dislike managers they do actually want it to work,Just makes their jobs harder when its not.

For once I would agree with you Theghost it would be better for Managers if it did work but, the managers don't manage the offices they are dictated too.
What will happen when your manager is told he needs more savings, what may works now won't work in the future and its coming to an office near you!

I dont see why what is working now will suddenly fail to in future?
It may come to an office near me,But not our office,Not until we are privatised anyway.
We lost 280 hours last year (Not replacing leavers/retired etc) Only for them to recognise this was too much so last month they made 2 part time staff permanent full time and 5 temporary full time.
