Simple question - as per title.
We had a discussion at IPS this morning and the office seemed to back this idea.
Basically we would all work Easter Friday at no extra cost to the Business but all get Saturday off in return. It would mean working a Bank Holiday but would mean an uninterrupted weekend.
Of course those not wishing to do so for religious reasons would be covered by current legislation, or good bargaining by the Union.
Thoughts as well of course.

That would probably work out in favour of night shifts in MCs, RDCs and MPUs as they could work the Thursday night/Friday morning as duty and then have the Friday night off

A precise question deserve a precise answer ... YES!
Even our DOM agrees ... having said that he did disappear early (as usual for a Saturday) so it will most probably feel like a long weekend for him anyway!

Better still let's have Friday,Saturday,Sunday and Monday and give up one of the other useless Bank Holidays.

TBH I'd rather have the day rolled into annual leave, being off just means extra work for us poor plebs on delivery.
