Our rounds have changed slightly and had some new roads put on , one of these roads I had done 5yrs back and then this particular dog had gone for me,9The owners don't care as I often see the dogs out in the street or loose in there garden that has no gates)
Today I had been delivering to the houses in the road it is like a cul de sac) and a young man that lives there had came out on his moped down the road and turned round and went back in the dogs barked and he told them to go in, so when I came to deliver I checked to see if the dogs were around and could not see them , walked up the driveway and they have a standalone letterbox but this was hidden behind a fence panel they had errected, as I got to almost it the dogs came running round it, snarling and barking I tunred and as I did so the dog bit my bum, then the young chap came out and called them and said what is up I replied your f******king dogs bit me and you can have these and chucked his letters at him and told him to sort his dogs out,
Then i rang the office and as usual got the answerphone. lucky saw a driver gave him my bags and said tell management to call me when they get back,
Then took myself off to the doctors, but before this I saw a police car and said to them that i had just been bitten by a dog and she said that she was doing home oppiontments and I had to ring a no, she gave me
, good job I was not in laying in the road, otherwise she would have drove over me 
.Anyway Police been in touch and they cannot pursue it as the bite was done on the prmises and not on a public way, but they are sending a dog warden round to have a word, but unless they put a gate on the driveway the dogs will just run around as they please like they have done over the years ,
As usual RM manager was helpful, like are you in tomorrow my answer no will get back to you when I feel better next week sometime
Anyway sun is out have fun and now got to get in touch with our legal & medical

Its very disturbing when you get bitten the anger and frustration you feel goes beyond the job and you take it home with you. Glad you reported it to the police although its often better if you go to a station as you get a incident number.
