... and does it make you feel inadequate? I have no qualms in divulging that my missus earns nearly thirty grand as a teacher, but when it comes to hours worked, she gets about the same hourly rate as me

my missus earns alot more than me nearly 5 times as much but i dont feel guilty as i supported her through university and other courses to gain her job as a cardiac specialist, because of the situation at royal mail we are now thinking of uprooting to new zealand where her job is on offer for the equivilent of £100,000 so i might not be a postie for much longer (in the uk anyway) i wonder what an kiwi postman earns hmmmm?

The Mr is working post doc so earning enough considering the years of study he put in to get where he is.

My missus earns far more than me but it doesn't bother me,she is an experienced ward sister on a Cardiac Care Unit so in my opinion she earns and deserves any penny she gets,God bless her.

Mind you the way things are going I might have need of her expertise in the not too distant future.

I'm ashamed to say my missus has to work to help us make ends meet! I'm proud of her wanting to help out but I always thought a working man should be able to support his family without his missus having to work. If she wants to work then that's fine, it's for Christmas prezzies or a holiday.

I'd love my missus to earn £30k (don't know how you work the hourly rate out as they always seem to be on holiday!)
I wouldn't need to work if she was on that. We don't have an expensive life style, we just like to eat!
