Seen the odd post on here regarding different start times on different days.
Is this all over or just the odd office.I'm talking about with the new revisions,WS-P&L and all the other s**t.

I Wrote-During Covid-Which is still relevant now
It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

yes some in our office finish earlier mon tue maybe they should start later shows how out of touch dims are

AFAIK longs & shorts is part of P&M2007, once you have the BT2010 longs & shorts should cease across the board
I don't suppose your mouth bleeds every 28 days, does it?

scratches their arse or picks their nose Royal Mail lose 78 pence.Stopping to pass wind is a whopping 96 pence
(it is recommended that all passing of wind be done while still working).
Pinging off elastic bands at other staffs arses comes out at 60 pence for the sender and and sometimes up to £2 for the receiver,if all this horseplay was eradicated Royal Mail reckon they could save £100 million a year,the CWU say they need to have some meetings to discuss the situation ...

If that's the case then we've had them for years and the new P&L coming in soon is the same.

Nowt in BT2010 that says longs and shorts is to be scrapped. Longs and shorts is about taking the working week and allocating hours to match workload better. Having the same amount of hours for light days and busy days is operationally bonkers.

Our new revision was built around long and shorts to reduce the need for absorption.
Once you get the size of the deliveries right then it's obvious that on a tuesday without a shorter attendance there would be scope for lapsing.
Considering the number of arguments between members and management over the past few years about lapsing...i would rather do without.
Our start time is fixed Mon-Sat though....it's our finish time that changes...that seems to work better.

Thats how it is in my D.O, when we introduced L and S in 2008 we put in a earlier finish time Monday and Tuesday and transferred the time from Monday and Tuesday to Wednesday Thursday Friday.
